So - if there's a play set in to the tune of 6 gay men in a bath house representing the politics, risks, joy and troubles of being gay - then it's a must see.
"Slap and Tickle" is such a play. It was at the Provincetown Theatre that I saw this play, but not after seeing the flyer for this play - I mean come on - gay men in a bath house - that was intriguing enough for me....
The play looks at the life of 6 gay men representing every facet of a gay man's life and gay culture from the use of the internet, to the coming of age of realising that you are gay, monogamy, sexual freedom in an open relationship, abuse, drugs, HIV - it's got it all.
The play got great reviews and I was reading somewhere that it might be heading to Off-Broadway.
Anyways folks - if you can get a chance to see it - please do - it's about the times of our lives as gay men!
TTYL sexy peeps!

sounds interesting, would it appeal to straight folks as well?
ReplyDeleteHi VL - not sure if it would appeal to everyone, especially straight folks - it's one of those plays that the topics might be "over the top" - but in terms of artistic value - it might be worth seeing it!
ReplyDeleteHey Steve, I often think Ptown is a bit like vegas with loads of shows to see if the bar scene is not quite your thing. Over the 4th of July wkd I went to see Varla Jean's show which was hilarious. I head back to Provincetown on TH for Carnival. If time permits, I'll try to check out the show.
ReplyDeleteHi BG - wow - lucky! Carnival - I am all about that - I so want to be there!
ReplyDeleteinteresting, maybe it will come to LA
ReplyDeleteHi WM - it got great reviews so if steam picks up it might hit LA!
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be some sort of error here. I don't believe I was asked to be in this production... a major oversight or an artistic slight?
ReplyDeleteHello Stephen - long time nor hear! I think it was there loss!
