Is this the first comic book super hero to make it to Broadway - "SPIDERMAN - Turn Off the Dark" hits Broadway on November 14th, and get this music is being composed by U2's Bono and the Edge. How awesome is that?
U2 has already made an imprint on the comic book super-heroes by composing the theme to one of the Batman flicks (remember Hold Me Thrill Me Kill Me). Also Larry and Adam had composed the Mission Impossible theme - so the band is no stranger to the movies. But Broadway - yeah - that's rocking.
The Broadway theatrics is to be directed by Julie Taymor ("The Lion King") and has loads of stunts, visuals and amazing performers from Cique deSoleil; the Beijing Olympics, Broadway and the motion pics itself.
Wonderman - I know you'll love this!
Peeps - TTYL!

This should be very interesting
ReplyDeleteInteresting indeed. It could either be very good or very bad!
ReplyDeleteI like the "Hold Me Thrill Me Kill Me" song. U2 created the 'elevation' song for Lara Croft which I think was nice as well.
Do you really think it is going to happen... it keeps getting postponed & re-cast.
ReplyDeleteHi CDC - long time no hear!
ReplyDeleteNik - who knows - either way it would be entertaining!
Stephen - I hope it's on. I got offered tickets for the premier - so I am hoping it's all green light from here!
I've been dying to write about it, but held out for video of something... LOL
