A Few Lesbo Encounters and Yoga

Here's some music to share as I share some thoughts:

Thank You (Led Zepplin Cover)_Chris Cornell

It was a weird past week.....Have you ever had that one person who really gets under your skin when they've done nothing wrong? - you're neither friends with this person and they really have not done anything wrong - there's just something you can't put your finger on - but yet you stoop down so low to find every reason in the world not to strike a conversation with that person or even try to change your train of thought towards that person.

I know - I'm frail and it's pathetic to be that way - but then something nice happens and I just change my mind, and then I end up feeling like an arse - and I should.

Anywho - there were two such folks like that in my yoga class and I just couldn't stand them. I know it's so bad to think like this especially being in yoga and and trying to aspire to something better is always my goal.

On Sunday - two of these ladies talked to me....and hey - it was good. It was as if they heard my inner weakness speak and now I feel better for the 180 degree change in my mindset! YEE HAAAHHHHH! Isn't life sometimes so awesome?

It turns out one of these ladies my friend was saying is a lesbo - always good to meet someone from the LGBT community especially since it's small where I live - maybe she had gaydar! But now she always says "hi" and we chat a bit about our practise and how I sucked at it!

On another front - I was having brunch today with one of my girl-friends this a.m. and we were chatting about random crap and a common name came up and my gff told me she was a lesbian!

"Wow - she was like in a 9 year relationship with a guy" - when did miss tang become a lesbo? Goes to show - you never know who's who out there!

Anyways peeps - TTYL and have a great weekend!

  1. Nice post. This reminds me of my best gal pal, Vida. We met while working for the same company 12 years ago. After working together for a month or so, then becoming good friends outside the office, she admitted to me one night at dinner that when she first met me she thought I didn't like her. What? Who wouldn't like me? I'm fun, dammit!

Anyway, that just goes to show you - people aren't always what you perceive them to be in your own reality.

(BTW, you're a music buff. What do you think of Sting's "...nothing like the sun" album from 1987? It's one of my faves of all time.)

  2. Hi Corey - yeah Depehce Mode said it best with "People Are People" - in other words - no expectations - just live and be open and of course - be good as well!

On Sting's....Nothing Like the Sun! Good album, Sting continued on the heavy infuence of jazz on this one - I like how his voice meshes with jazz - he adds a sexy feel to it..."Be Still My Beating Heart" shows this - suttle, jazzy and sexy.

My fave on ths album is "Englishman in NY".....this song is one of my faves and it's stick in my head now. This is a catchy piece and should of been a bigger hit.

    Hope that helps Corey :-)

  3. Steve, as long as people are open to it, relationships/people really can change overnight. Sometimes, I think it is one of the neatest things about us.

  4. Thanks Kyle - Change is either resisted or embraced - I believe people can change - otherwise - what's the point.
